I had a wonderful stay at the Whitehouse. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. There’s plenty of off-road parking. The room was very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was delightful, offering a good variety of options. The dining room, with its bright and airy atmosphere, made the mornings pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing great service throughout my stay. Wi-Fi connectivity needs improvement. it dropped frequently and made it difficult to stay connected. the heating schedule felt a bit restricted, and I wished I could adjust it according to my needs. A mixer tap in the bathroom would be a better option instead of separate taps. I enjoyed my time, but those issues slightly detracted from the experience.

Although the guest house is situated on a busy road, my room at the back offered a peaceful atmosphere.

perfectly positioned for exploring stirling's rich history
I loved how close the Robert the Bruce Statue was, just a short stroll of around 500 meters away, and the warm hospitality made my stay feel like home. the gardens nearby were perfect for a peaceful walk, too. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the clean, comfortable single room that always welcomed me back after my daily adventures.

missingWrote a review on 21 Marclean roomdecent breakfastthick duvetweak internet
The room felt homey, clean, and tidy, with just the right amount of warmth provided by a thick duvet. The breakfast offered a decent continental selection, which was enjoyable enough to start the day right.
Internet coverage left much to be desired—connection was weak and dropped frequently. The heating in the room only operated for two hours in the evening, leaving it quite chilly during the rest of the night. I had to keep the window open, which didn't help at all. The shower temperature was inconsistent, often lukewarm and dropped rapidly after a few minutes. the separate taps in the bathroom sink made it challenging to find a comfortable water temperature for washing up.

The single room had a thick duvet that kept me cozy on a chilly night. The location, while a trek from the city center, offered a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle.
Internet coverage was poor, dropping out repeatedly during my stay. The heaters seemed to be on a strict schedule, only operating from 8-10 PM, which left the room quite cold otherwise. The shower water barely reached lukewarm, and the distinct taps in the sink made it tricky to find a comfortable temperature. mixing would definitely help. The breakfast was a letdown—continental only without the option for made-to-order items, which I expected. While it isn’t related to the guest house, the nearby pub had an inconvenient meal schedule that didn’t align with the posted times.
